You may or may not have noticed, but I almost never wear black. There are a few reasons why - one practical reason being that I have a cat and a dog and despite them being a mix of colours they seem to leave white fur on everything, fur not visible on colour, but very visible on black. I also believe colour does more for your complexion, has great influence over your mood, and I also don't like to look like everyone else who are, in general dressed in black.
Before I close the door and throw away the key, I do have to mention my exceptions. I do wear black blouses, particularly sheer ones, as I think they are classic, can be sexy and oh so deliciously delicate. I also love black lace probably for all the same reasons, that and the fact that it makes me feel flirty as hell.
In this case I made a rare exception for this billowing dress by Jimmy D purely for the romanticism and drama of it all. The second I put it on and played around with layering sheer silk I couldn't help but feel a little mysterious, and definitely nothing like all the other people wearing black around me. This dress maybe, just maybe made me believe that black was ok after all, we will see.
