This week I started my week a little differently, I went to a life and business coach for the first time to discuss my own motivation, goal setting and way forward from here. I left feeling pretty damn good to be honest, and so I write this Monday Motivator post not needing an oomph myself as I usually do on a Monday, but feeling super motivated already, may my good vibes zing straight in to your system with this post!

Over the last few weeks I really feel that my computer, although useful is really throwing a spanner in my creativity. Obviously I have to use it for work, but I'm going to do my best to cut it loose more often so I can get back to the essence of drawing and making which for me is really about the basics with a pencil and some paper...non digitised.

Stina Persson's work is perfect motivation for this headspace, specifically these pieces that incorporate cut paper with ink and watercolour. Looking at them I can only imagine the pure freedom and pleasure that comes from laying up pieces of paper and experimenting with where they would fit best, adding some in and subtracting, not worrying about perfectly cut shapes (as I would). These pieces bring me much additional motivation this Monday, I hope they can deliver the same for you.

Have a fantastic week guys

x

Kelly
