Melbourne is the best city for regular markets, art shows and creative events, and I have a feeling that Supergraph is going to become one of the yearly greats. Launching on the 14th of Feb Supergraph celebrates print, illustration and contemporary arts and has so many exciting interactive events and stalls that I can tell I am not only about to fill my inspiration bank, but fill my arms with creative treats for home. What excites me most about Supergraph (other than the possibility of great priced artwork, and hourly drawing throw downs), is that some of the stalls will have artists working at them so you can observe their processes, talk to them and then purchase items to take home. This year The Jacky Winter Group is also holding hour long Masterclasses for the public on a variety of subjects from creative business management to "How to Draw Badly" and one of them will be hosted by me. My class will cover a few things - how to source and create your own reference material, fashion illustration tips, and tips on how to colour in Photoshop. Classes are limited to 30 people and mine have almost sold out, so if you want to come along be sure to head here (scroll down the page) and book now. If my class isn't your cup of tea there are many other interesting classes to attend too so have a read through and sign up for a creativity boost!
