I finally made it to Bali (with special thanks to the NZ Embassy), and with a welcoming blanket of humid air I began to relax immediately. I came with a few little holiday goals - Don't check my email, eat as much street food as possible, drink out of a coconut, see a frog and hold a monkey - big goals. So far I have failed with my email goal and am yet to meet the animals I want, but I have been eating up a storm, daily dosing on probiotics and sampling all I can. The food here is delicious, and if you avoid the tourist spots you can easily eat your way to happiness at the equivalent of 50cents Australian, it is easy to understand why Bali is a tourist mecca. I'm taking many holiday snaps along the way, so I'll be sure to update you with imagery soon.
