I first met Nicole Warne a few years ago on location in Broome where we were both photographed for a campaign - Prior to that I had somehow lived in a bubble, not aware of her social media prowess under the Gary Pepper Girl brand. In my oblivion of her fame I spent a week with her in the heat, talking fashion and playing model with a backdrop of sun and red earth, she was lovely, and it was she who introduced me to Instagram and told me to start a blog, how social media innocent I was! Since then Nicole and her brand have exploded, ticking up over 1 million Instagram followers, signing as a model with IMG and travelling the world living every fashion lovers dream.

Somehow last Wednesday our timetables aligned and Nicole gave me four photos in need of some hats to feature in a Melbourne Cup blog post on her blog. As a style ambassador for Lavazza she wanted to showcase suitable outfits for the various race days, but also hoped to capture some of the magic felt when dressing up for such events. Over two and a half days I scribbled madly, and above are the fruits of my labour - a somewhat fairytale selection of elaborate headpieces, perfectly appropriate for a social media Queen. Be sure to head to her blog here to read her blog post and discover exactly why the world is infatuated with Nicole Warne.
